The Association of Transportation Professionals of Indian Origin (ATPIO), with the support of the International Road Federation (IRF) and the Transportation Research Board (TRB), is proud to bring you the First International Symposium on Advances in Transport Sustainability (ISATS) to be hosted at Arizona State University, Tempe Campus in beautiful Arizona.  ATPIO is pleased to launch this series of symposia with a view to addressing one of the greatest challenges confronting transportation professionals worldwide.  In an effort to reach out to the global community, ATPIO has joined forces with IRF to organize this symposium.  Over the past several decades, IRF has been a leading force in enhancing the sustainability and performance of transportation systems around the world.  The symposium will feature distinguished speakers from around the world, carefully selected presentations on best practices and recent advances in transport sustainability, and exhibitors showcasing the latest products and technology in the field.  The symposium will offer plenty of opportunities for formal and informal discussions, networking, and information sharing.

The event will be held at the Memorial Union of the Arizona State University, Tempe Campus in the heart of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area in Arizona, USA.  The event will commence with an opening plenary session at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 and conclude with a closing lunch featuring an invited keynote speaker and award ceremony at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 19, 2010.  Make plans today to attend this event!

This symposium immediately follows the Sixth Arizona State University (ASU) Pavements and Materials Conference which is scheduled to take place November 15-17, 2010 at the same venue.  The ASU Pavements and Materials Conference is a major event that showcases the latest developments in pavement design, materials, analysis, construction, and rehabilitation.  The conference specifically focuses on sustainable practices for pavement design and construction as well as the use of smart materials in pavements.  Individuals who wish to attend both events (i.e., the ASU Pavements/Materials Conference and ISATS2010) qualify for a discounted bulk registration fee.  Please visit the ASU Pavements and Materials Conference site for detailed information about that conference.

Please consider being a sponsor, partner, or exhibitor for this symposium and have your organization logo appear here.  Visit the Exhibitors and Sponsors page of this site for details. If your organization would like to be a partner, please e-mail the symposium secretariat at secretariat@isats2010.org.
